Local artist Brian Collier's installation Very Small Objects: A New System of Classification
&
Chicago artist Patrick Miceli's Made in China, Item Count, and On the Way to Oz

Chicago artist Patrick Miceli creates installations using consumer products such as toys given away as a fast food premiums and fast food packaging. These large scale works evoke the multiplicity of meaning inherent in the individual building block materials and speak to the connection between identity and consumerism.

Bloomington artist Brian Collier explores the roles the collection, classification, and display play in our understanding of the world around us. Gathering everything from garbage to conventionally beautiful objects like feathers and seashells, he has created a new system of classification for the objects from ubiquitous and often strange world of the Very Small.
