Array-Disarray

Array/DisArray, a group exhibition of installation work will be on view in the McLean County Arts Center’s Armstrong Gallery from October 7 through November 19, 2011. An opening reception – free and open to the public – is scheduled for Friday, October 7, from 5pm to 7pm in conjunction with downtown Bloomington’s First Fridays.

About the Exhibition

The three exhibiting artists use lines of various materials to create and define new spaces within the gallery walls. By manipulating abstract and geometric form, color, perspective, and scale, three-dimentional drawings are made specifically for the site and the audience to experience. The artists, Benjamin DeMott, Diana Gabriel, and Katie Hinton, will also be displaying drawings and paintings in the art center’s Sales Gallery for the duration of the exhibition. This exciting show of emerging contemporary talent was co-curated with Rob Fifield, painter and MCAC staff member.
